Happy New Year! I can't believe how fast 2009 has come and gone. I can feel that 2010 is going to be a year full of expansion and joy for many, many people.

As the New Year is upon us, many people set New Year's Resolutions. Most of the time our resolutions consist of a big change that we want to see in our current life.

Here are some examples:

1. Losing Weight

2. Increasing Prosperity (Money)

3. Enjoying Life More

4. Quit Smoking

5. Find a new job

I think that is a start. I am sure there are more and would love to hear your New Year's Resolution.

So, most of the time we set these goals to change a habit that we have that we aren't happy with. In essence that is what we are here to do. If there is contrast in our life, we are to take that contrast and grow by developing WANTS from it, which we feel will make us happy.

For most of us, the New Year starts off great. We are conscious of our new goals and deliberately trying to stay focused and change our habit. Feels good huh!

Well, then a week hits us! We search for the reasons as to why we can't continue to change our habits. Our goal was set too high, or our goal is way to hard to accomplish or it's just taking too much work to work at it. I think you can relate.

We end up talking ourselves out of our New Year's Resolution. I mean we went into it with the full intent to change something in our life that we weren't happy with but somehow was taken off course.

What can you do to keep your mind focused and your intentions set to accomplish your New Year's Resolution?

Setting a goal that feels attainable to you

If you set your goal to earn $10,000/month but you have only ever earned $1000/month that can be very overwhelming. Break it down to something that feels good to you but is a little of a stretch.

Every morning, set your intentions about how you want to feel as well as the goal you want to work on for that day

By setting your intentions, you are pre-paving the way that you want your day to go.

Notice all the positive evidences that show up for you related to this goal

Your positive evidences may be small, like how you are feeling, or huge like things manifesting in your life related to your specific goal. You want to watch for what is showing up for you in a positive way.

CELEBRATE any progress that you make on your goals

This can be something big or small or even a positive emotion you are getting when thinking or doing this goal! By celebrating this goal you are inspiring and putting out the positive emotions about what you are going relating to this goal which is literally changing the way you think about it and seeing it as being accomplished.

I hope these tips can help you stay on track for reaching your New Year's Resolutions. I encourage you to let us know what your Resolutions are for the next year so we can support you and encourage your progress.
